Refugee Resettlement Programs Seek Assistance and Volunteers

As Seattle resettles more and more Afghan refugees, we are hoping that the SEAPAX community is ready to step up and contribute in a number of ways. The Peace Corps Community for Refugees (PCC4R) has invited SEAPAX to partner with the regional affiliate of the Lutheran Immigrant and Refugee Service, ๐—Ÿ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—–๐—ผ๐—บ๐—บ๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ถ๐˜๐˜† ๐—ฆ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€ ๐—ก๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ต๐˜„๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜ (๐—Ÿ๐—–๐—ฆ๐—ก๐—ช).

The latest donation request for Refugee Starter Kits and Needed Items (see full image of list below) include toiletries, cleaning supplies, kitchen items, and diapers for "starter kits". Contact Edie Cooke and Mouammar Abouagila for more information.

They are also seeking people who have weekday availability to transport clients to appointments and pick up and deliver donations and people who can temporarily host refugees in their homes.
