Service
The SEAPAX Service Committee would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed, stored, or delivered items for the supply drive for Afghan refugees. We dropped off four full carloads of diapers and bathroom supplies to the Lutheran Community Services/Refugees NW centers in Tacoma and SeaTac. Special thanks to Lillian Baer, Catherine Swanson, Jenn Ritchey, Beth Ahlstrom, Roberta Nestaas, and Alex Russel!
Refugees NW in SeaTac has asked for volunteers with availability on Thursdays to help out sorting food and supplies for their food bank. If interested, fill out their volunteer form and contact info@seapax.org with any questions.
Thanks also to those that came out to World Relief's Community Garden Day! Our small but mighty group helped prepare the garden for Spring planting. We look forwards to working with them again soon!

DEI Committee
As Peace Corps returns to service, it is important to hold the agency accountable in its pursuit of higher standards in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. NBC News has reported that Director Carol Spahn is focusing on diversity, transparency, and sexual assault.
Last year's Peace Corps Connect (via the NPCA) set expectations and ways in which Peace Corps should and can be better. It is up to us as RPCVs to hold Peace Corps accountable where we can, and ensure that this organization continues to improve for years to come.
